Ellen & Carrie back at SAB!
Blonde babe besties belting some beats and ballads…It’s Ellen and Carrie! We do this duo a few times a year, and we always have a superb time sharing the stage. So excited to be back at SAB!
Ellen Trnka
Ellen is a vocal musician and guitarist from the NYC area residing in WNC in 2002. She’s been singing professionally for over 30 years in blues and jazz bands and in trios, duets, and as a soloist. She has played in many kinds of venues in the NYC area and here in WNC and SC as well. Ellen has opened for/played with national acts such as Pheobe Snow, Saffire – “The Uppitty Blues Woman”, Marshall Tucker Band, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, John Pizzarelli and more. Sharing her craft is Ellen’s favorite thing to do.
Carrie Morrison
Born and raised in Louisville, Ky., Carrie moved to WNC in 2004, where she became a teacher in special education. She has performed as a singer/songwriter/pianist in a variety of music venues in WNC for more than a decade. Carrie is known for songs that are melodically strong with personal, witty lyrics. She plays in duos, trios, and bands, and recorded vocals and piano for several regional artists. Her EP “Carolina Blonde” was produced by the late Terry Wetton in 2013. Her newest CD, “Miles and Miles,” produced by Chris Rosser of Hollow Reed Arts, was released in late 2017. Carrie feels blessed to connect with others through music, her biggest passion.
