About Marshall: I am a singer, songwriter and multi – instrumentalist based in northeast Tennessee. My dobro and lap steel work can be heard on recordings by David Childers, Christine Kane, Hot Guitar, Chris Rosser, The Gospel Playboys, Mama Said, Wanda Lu Greene, The Timber Rattlers, and Radiation Blues Banned. I have shared the stage with David Lindley, Jorma Kaukonen, Doc Watson, Dave Alvin and the Guilty Men, Cindy Cashdollar, Acoustic Syndicate, Michael Reno Harrell, Mary Flower, Rank Outsiders and others. I currently play mostly solo shows on guitar, dobro, banjo, fiddle, harmonica, hawaiian guitar and tiple. I perform a heady mix of originals, old-time, blues, bluegrass, jug band,rock and roll, and more. I have toured throughout the southeast US and have played a number of festivals, including Piccolo Spoleto and The Lowcountry Blues Bash in Charleston, SC, The Carolina Downhome Blues Festival in Camden, SC, The Lake Eden Arts Festival in Swannanoa, NC, The Pee Dee Blues Bash in Florence, SC, Greening Up The Mountains in Sylva, NC, The National Steel Guitar Festivals in Brevard, NC and Charleston, SC, and many more. I have organized benefit concerts for several charities, including food banks and abused women & children’s shelters through the years. I have conducted workshops on slide guitar at The National Steel Guitar Festivals in Brevard, NC, and Charleston, SC, and at Grandpa’s Music in Saint Augustine, Florida. I have taught guitar at Mountain Discovery Charter School in Bryson City, NC, as well as a private instructor.
