This fun fan favorite is back again!
Dachshunds and dachshund mixes ONLY this year!
Registration is day-of only and runs from 1-2pm. Races begin at 2pm and go until the last dogs have run.
$20 fee includes entry of one dog and one human to Oktoberfest.
All proceeds from Wiener Races are donated to Blue Ridge Humane Society.
Prizes from Southern Appalachian Brewery and Wag! A Unique Pet Boutique.
Dogs must be healthy, friendly, and up to date on vaccines.
**All dogs must have a current RABIES Vaccination.
• All dogs must be on a leash outside the racing area.
• Owners are required to clean up after their pets. • Each dog must have someone to release the dog at the starting gate and someone to receive at the finish line. The receivers may use any means to call the dog (holding a toy or treat and/or calling the dog), although throwing of objects is not allowed.

**There will be starting line and finishing line judges. Judge rulings are final.**
By signing up for this event you agree to the following:
LIABILITY WAIVER I, the owner, acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to participate in the Oktoberfest Wiener Dog Derby. I also attest that any individuals associated with Wag! A Unique Pet Boutique, Southern Appalachian Brewery, and the Oktoberfest Wiener Dog Races are not responsible for any actions that may result from my participation in the event. That in bringing my pet to participate in Oktoberfest Wiener Dog Races, I understand that I am doing so at my sole risk. Any cost and expense and any harm that may come to the animal(s) shall be my sole responsibility; and in attending the Oktoberfest Wiener Dog Races with my pet(s) should any injury occur to any person, other animal or property as a result of the behavior of my animals, whether expected or unexpected regardless of the stimulus for the behavior, I will be solely liable and held responsible for any injury or property damage that results from my participation and that will not indemnify and hold harmless protect and defend the event organizers of The Hendersonville Oktoberfest, Oktoberfest Wiener Dog Derby and its sponsors.
