Here’s the thing about mothers: they will feign delight at the lousy breakfast in bed that you bring them on Mother’s Day but what they want—what they really want—is for you to put on a clean shirt and drive them to Southern Appalachian Brewery for the Mother’s Day Gospel Brunch. Redneck Mimosa will be playing all of your mother’s Gospelly favorites. Farm To Fender will do the cooking. SAB will provide the beverage(s) to take her mind off the many many ways you have disappointed her over the years. Your Mother is counting on you. Don’t let her down. Again.
