Join vocalist Mary Kay Williams while she and her band explores fun and lively tunes in the jazz, swing, blues, funk, and soul styles. Get ready for some unexpected songs taken from popular movies, TV shows, and the 1970s, twisted around and served up in a new way. She will also include your favorite jazz standards in the mix.
Kevin Sanders, Kim Butler, and Andy Applegate will be co-conspirators in the fun.

Bio, Mary Kay Williams

Mary Kay Williams, a Western NY native, has been singing jazz, blues, and church music in the Asheville area since 2017. She leads a swing dance band called Mary Kay and the Moonlighters, a vocal harmony group called Radical Joy, and along with her jazz duo and trio, she entertains with feeling, singing standards and original tunes with her powerful, precise, and versatile vocals. Mary Kay is a composer-lyricist. She has recorded an EP of original songs called “Home”, and writes and performs regularly for jazz and other audiences and spiritual venues. She has rearranged songs and wrote original lyrics for a show called Nerd Night, which performs popular science fiction, movies, and TV theme songs with a jazz, blues and funk flair.
